The Slashing of Major Mackerel

The Jamaican Reggae artist Garfield Dixon also known as Major Mackerel was slashed in the head, arm, and hand by his Brooklyn neighbor with a 2 foot sword.

Mackerel was hospitalized for several hours and released. Upon his release Mackerel was spotted with bandages on his head, arm, wrist, and hand.

The alleged cause of this brutal attack had to do with Mackerel allegedly trying to pursue his neighbor’s wife. Mackerel denied all allegations of harassment.

Mackerels' Brooklyn neighbor was arrested and is facing charges of assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon.
