American Airlines flight 331 arrived in heavy rain. The flight departed from Miami, Florida and landed at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, JA.
Right after the passengers applauded for what they thought to be a safe landing the plane then skidded across the road and ended up on the beachfront.
Mr. Walker, head of TV Jamaica stated,
"Then there was a loud bang, that's when the passengers knew something was wrong, when oxygen masks deployed and also they noticed that the structure of the fuselage started to crumble. My information is that it's broken into three pieces."
The airline will not speculate on the cause of the crash but most believe it was because of the inclement weather, which caused the skidding upon landing.
Fortunately, no fatalities were caused by this accident but approximately 90 people suffered from minor injuries and was immediately sent to a nearby Kingston hospital for treatment.

I am in need of some information on cheap international airline tickets as I have to make many journeys in the upcoming days and I found your blog. I have already bookmared it. Will be back very soon.
It's funny they mentioned the applause upon landing. A friend of mine who flies there regularly says she never applauds until the plane is STOPPED! LOL.
Anyways, God blessed all those passengers last night.....nothing serious. Amen.
The passengers were very lucky! I don't even think I'd have enough guts to hop on the return flight.. too many planes are crashing!
