JAMAICA'S XMAS PRESENT - GULLY AND GAZA PEACE

As we know, the feud between Adidja Palmer aka Vybz Kartel and David Brooks aka Mavado has really gotten out of hand. This feud has even gone as far as creating division and invigorating warish mentalities between members of Jamaican society who are devoted to the Gully and Gaza camps.

This controversy has even stimulated big bouts of scrutiny and insults between people from the rival camps. Even though both artists have tried to refrain from going back and forth with insults in new songs, it still wasn't enough to squash any grievances they've carried for each other.

In efforts to bring and end to the whole feud and make peace, Kartel has agreed to shake hands with Mavado to publicly resolve all issues and reiterate that the war is lyrical and not personal.

He personally wrote a letter to confirm this gesture.

"Le it be known that in gesture of goodwill, faith and patriotism that I, Adidja Palmer, will be making myself available... to stand with David Brooks... to show Jamaica that we're patriotic Jamaicans and as such, are bound to secure the well being of such. I am calling on the relevant authorities who also have a stake in resolving this public feud to endeavor to make it happen in a peaceful, organized manner."
As a good start of the week and a positive ending to a tough year, Vybz Kartel and Mavado FINALLY MADE PEACE this morning at the West Kingston Jamboree!!

Lets hope that this was done from the heart and not in efforts to be booked for the upcoming 'Sting 09' due to officers stating that the feud must be brought to closure in order for either party to perform at The Greatest One Night Show On Earth.

As two influential reggae artists that are looked up to, especially by the youth of today, both need to set a positive example and let this feud fall by the waist side.
