This one is for the Shabba fans!
He is letting the world know that he was gone for a minute, but he is back! Let's see how this goes...
I love to see celeb artists showing their real personality, connecting with their fans, and simply be themselves. I completely understand the entertainment scene where celebs sometimes portray something other than themselves for sale purposes, but to actually see that the purpose of their existence isn't only for fly cars, jewelry, and clothes is comforting...
So, with that said - here is Red Rat from Double R TV, expressing how he feels about the direction of the dancehall industry.
I LOVE this clip because he calls out names, he talks about who he likes, who he doesn't like, and why - and you can't even get upset with him because regardless if you like it or not, he's speaking the truth.

Is Bounty "Cross.Angry.Miserable" Killer abusing women? Pregnant women at that?
It looks like it!
On May 22nd Bounty Killer was at a night club in Kingston where he approached a young pregnant lady, he simply asked her why she was there and started to shove, hit and punch her.
Soon after, his friends joined in on the attack which just sounds like they jumped her! Was all of that even necessary??

Michael Jackson is dead.
Some say its confirmed, some are beating around the bushes and some are talking about a coma...but the man is dead.
I know there are a lot of people that are going to be heartbroken about it, Michael Jackson is the King of Pop - but the man is dead!
Everyone is sitting at the edge of their seats just to confirm it, refreshing their pages every other minute to check for updates, you all might as well go and take a bathroom break and come back to your sources.
He already has one foot in the grave, so give him about 10 minutes.
We all love Michael Jackson, I know, but the man is weird and I just don't have an emotional attachment to him. Just let him go in peace...
BUT if we were talking about my OBAMA!
I would be prepared and ready to tear some shit up!

July 1st marks the 10 year anniversary of the death of one of Reggae's greatest legends, Dennis Brown. The first of July is just around the corner so let us commemorate him a little early!
The anniversary will never be a reason why he made it on the playlist, but because he is one of the latest and one of the greatest artists to bless our ears with praiseworthy music.
Continue resting in peace Dennis Brown (Feb.1st, 1957 - July 1st, 1999)
Listen to Money In My Pocket by Dennis Brown
You just have to appreciate good music!

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and Alliance noticed this and decided to nip it in the bud, immediately.
The streets are always talking and ever since Foota Hype made it clear that he no longer wanted to be affiliated with Mavado - Bounty Killa stepped in and proposed a meeting. People were starting to believe that this rift within the Alliance will be the demise of their federation.
If you feel out of the loop, click here!
A major meeting was held only a few days after Foota Hype made public appearance about his issues with Mavado. The meeting included Mavado, Foota Hype and Bounty Killa - whom he haven't spoken to in the past 2 years.
It's really a good thing that they decided to get over it and keep the past in the past. Hopefully, all of this will humble Mavado because its not hard to believe that he became egotistical - thats what money does to most artists.
It takes your closest friends to snap you out of it - but although they are good friends, they're always butting heads so don't be surprised if they're cussing each other out again in the near future.

It looks like they just want us to kill each other. Which isn't really a surprise...
As the Obama administration cracks down on smuggling firearm into Mexico, Jamaicans fear that even more firearms will reach the gangs whose turf wars plague the island of 2.8 million people.
X-ray scanners were installed at the Jamaican harbor ports to track illegal importing just two years ago, but the gangs use bribery and intimidation to get their shipments past inspectors.
In April, a newly hired customs supervisor had his tires slashed and days later was shot at on his way home from work, authorities say. The man was known for his strict scrutiny of cargo coming into a gang-infiltrated warehouse on the Kingston wharf.
The United States doesn't care about items that are exported but requires imports to be double and triple checked for drugs coming from Jamaica.
Besides coming in on freighters, authorities say, guns are stolen or purchased from crooked police or in 'guns for ganja' deals by fisherman, who bring homegrown marijuana to nearby Haiti and return with pistols, revolvers and submachine guns - many of them believed to be from the U.S. as well.
Come on Obama! I know you're up in the big house working hard for us but don't let the livelihood of the people living in the Caribbean slip your mind. Thanks!

I am a bit ashamed - but a little part of me was relieved that Jamaica is no longer the NUMBER ONE in this terrible statistic. But once I get past that I think, what are we going to do? Why are there so many heartless and ruthless people surviving and terrorizing our communities.
I can't single any one group out and say Black people, or say Caribbean people because people as a whole in every race and in every culture constantly prove that evil is everywhere - but why?
What is in the heart of the wicked?
Trinidad and Tobago has OFFICIALLY earned Jamaica's once held title as the murder capital of the Caribbean.
Although homicides are still increasing in Jamaica - a two percent increase in JA seems minor compared to the 38 percent increase in Trinidad & Tobago.
Most of the crimes in TNT are gang related but in recent months there has been an influx of violence towards tourist who are now targets for robbery, sexual assault and murder.
The NERVE - the one group of people that third world countries should just leave alone are the tourists. Can you imagine how much worse the economy would be without the tourism industry? Do they have any idea how much 'new' money is entering the islands just because the affluent want to enjoy the pretty blue water?
In October 2008, a Swedish couple was chopped to death in their hotel room in Tobago.
Just 10 days later, two British females were robbed and sexually assaulted by a bandit who forced his way into their holiday apartment.
“Violent crimes, including assault, kidnapping for ransom, sexual assault and murder, have involved foreign residents and tourists (and) incidents have been reported involving armed robbers trailing arriving passengers from the airport and accosting them in remote areas…the perpetrators of many of these crimes have not been arrested,” states a travel advisory for tourists who are entering the country.
According to a report issued by the United States State Department, gang-related homicides and other crimes will continue to increase in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009 and 2010.
I just HAD to listen to my favorite MAVADO tune while reading the story and just wondering if this was the song he played in the background while they were getting it in!
For the full effect, you should do the same...
It all started when Mavado went to Jacksonville on 3/19/09 at a club called Plush.
I went right over and sat next to Mavado's cousin Chase Cross an up and coming reggae artist. So me and my friend were talking to him at this time Mavado makes references to my breast and pum pum in his native patois language I laughed and responded. I could tell he was impressed by my speaking and understanding what he was saying, I asked for a picture with him giving some dude my phone for the camera. Mavado grabbed my phone and called his phone to get my number and said I'll see you after the show. After some grinding and blatant flirting I knew I wasn't going to make it to work the next morning.
The show went really well I danced with his uncle and left immediately after trying to prepare for my booty call because I was sweated out. About 3:30 a.m. I got a call from anonymous number, I answered and he told me he was at the hyatt and to call when I'm outside and he will send someone to get me.
When I got there he was chilling in some shorts and a green yellow and red netted like wife beater, he said something quickly to his boy and then he invited me to a spliff I smoked and drank some more, he turned on some music and told me to whine and take off my clothes, while I'm dancing and taking off my clothes he turned on a lamp and off the lights, he grabbed my wrist and got the spliff he stayed behind me grinding and whine to my riddim, out of no where he got aggressive and pushed me against the back of the sofa he smacked my a*s and began to pull down my thong, I stepped out of them now in just my stilettos, I turned towards him and ordered him to sit in his chair he went and sat.
I got on my knees and crawled to him, I unfastened his shorts he lifted up so I could take them off, that's when I realized just how skinny he really is I pulled out his d*ck, it was average I guess.
I began to deep throat him while jacking and slurping I could tell the slurping was turning him on, by the moans he was rubbing my head and calling me baby and when u hear a true Jamaican call you baby OMG its a turn on! After I sucked him up for awhile I straddled him on the chair looking right in his face he grabbed yet another spliff and a condom.
He lit up while I was riding him I caught his riddim and by the look at his sex face I could tell I had him, I got up and he grabbed me asking what I was doing, I told him I wanted to turn around and ride him, I made a small joke about him not burning my back wit the spliff we shared a laugh and back to business.
Out of nowhere he pushed me off of him onto the floor and began to f*ck me from the back he smacked my ass and talked nasty nothings in my ear all the while I'm talking sh*t right back he told me to lay on my back, I laid on my back and opened wide he scissored me then put one knee behind the fold of my knee and f*cked me like that, at this time I'm feeling a little sick from the hennessy and he got me all bent up, he had to f*ck me for about 20 minutes alone in that position, he then turned me over on my stomach, he rubbed my ass for a minute then proceeded to smash from the back for about 15 more minutes at this time I'm thinking when will he finish?!?
I told him let me get on top, about 10 minutes after bouncing on him he finally bust, I laid on the floor for a sec to catch my breath got my clothes and went to the bathroom washed up and got dressed, I came out and he was smoking yet another spliff putting something in a gift bag.
I hit the spliff we had small talk about his show and our sex I told him I would see him later he said he would be back in November and he would call me, he said he looked forward to seeing me again I said the same he hugged me, kissed my lips, and gave me the gift bag it was his cd autographed, 2 100 dollar bills and about an oz of ganja and a shirt that read "I'm so special" and I rushed home to call my friend with my story to tell! I won't rate him on his size because he is average but I will give him a 10 solely on stamina and he put me in a position I never been in and the fact he treated me well.
Though he is a celeb he f**ked with passion he's a cool guy and real down to earth, what can I say, he's so special...
---
In a day and age with all these sex tapes and pictures being leaked on the internet, when are we going to start seeing some of OUR artistes showing the goods?!
They sing about it all the time - I'm just curious if they even know what they talking about... I want PROOF!

A diva is defined as a woman who is not afraid to step out of her comfort zone and push her limits to do something different; with attitude, confidence and ZEST - Spice is just that.
A lot of people try to hate on her, simply because she likes to try new things and allow her own pizazz to shine through but from the looks of it she wont allow the hypocrites and parasites to prevent her from doing her thing - which she should be respected for.
Spicey Couture is her latest development which is a high end clothing store located at Mall Plaza in Half-Way Tree. She made an OFFICIAL launch a few days back in the food court of the Plaza, and she did it in style.
Spice laid out a red carpet and had a celebrity fashion show to premiere some of the brands now featured in the store.
Models included Spice, Isis, Lady Saw, and G Whizz and she ended this SPICEY event with live performances from the featured models, while adorning her guests with food and liquor.
This is my type of event and I bet her HATERS would bring the hate to a minimum if they were invited to eat off the girl food, drown in her liquor, get a free fashion show and top it off with a stage show!

Foota Hypa recently made it clear to the masses that he is no longer affiliated with Mavado, their friendship is officially over.
"I just want the public to know that I am no longer affiliates with Mavado. I don't want anybody to call me about him because from the other day, it's like he has gone on an ego trip. He's not the singing blacks who I once knew," says Foota Hype.
He claims that Mavado has gotten conceited once he started making money, and since then he's changed.
"Of course, me still say Alliance, that won't change. Me still live a Cassava Piece, still deh pon di Gully Side me nah seh Gaza, but me just don't have anything to deal wid Mavado, " he said.
This last quote is so funny to me because it sounds like he has no choice BUT to say Alliance mainly because he still lives in Cassava Piece.
All of this, in the public, "I'm not friends with you anymore" foolishness is so childish!
How old are you Foota Hype? 28!
You don't need to be all over the media just because you just lost your BFF!

I want to cover this event, but more importantly, I want to cover this group of promoters.
Ah long me did start see flyers wid the names Demolition Squad, Jotex, or Spaniards and I wanted to go to one of their parties, but I just never got a chance to.
So Saturday night I was out and about, doing some promoting and I saw the crowd outside of TNT - so I said let me go over there and be constructive.
It was about 3:15am so I thought this was the crowd that was leaving for the night, but when I got out of my car thats when I realized that this was the line trying to enter the club.
Thats what I'm talking about! As far as I'm concerned, thats how they got their first star.
I love going to parties where they take me for who I am. I am Caribbean! I don't even START to get ready until after 1am so when I finally touch the road at 3...don't turn me down. LET ME IN!
Once I got in, I see they had a well seasoned crowd, its after 3 so dem well unda dem Guinness. They had a nice crowd, not to mention all the stragglers that were hanging out outside.
I feel like the Demolition Squad, Jotex and of course the Spaniards are known for featuring the most popular dancers in the Washington DC area so the crowd was lively and the dancers were OUT!
Take a look at one of their OTHER parties - this is just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

While clicking away on the Internet I noticed that I am seeing these cartoon character like, comic book strip type of pictures that is somehow supposed to be affiliated with reggae.
I didn't quite understand it but I was seeing it EVERYWHERE so I figured, let me do my research. It's called Major Lazer and the best way to describe the genre is reggae infused with heavy metal.
Hmmm.
To me it just sounds like noise, LOUD noise - which is actually a bit irritating to listen to but surprisingly A LOT of people are appreciating it.
Another thing that I found surprising was that there are quite a few of our favorite reggae artists featured on their album, which they just released this past Tuesday entitled 'Guns Don't Kill People - Lazers Do'.
Artists like Ms. Thing, Vybz Kartel, T.O.K., Mr. Vegas, Jovi Rockwell and Turbulence - just to name a few.
I swear Major Lazer tricks me, I start feeling a beat and then all of a sudden they go into some kind of zone that I just can't get accustomed to. But regardless of what I think, they have a pretty steady fan base.
My question is, is this supposed to be reggae for the new generation? am I officially old school?
For a matter of fact, I was listening to a pretty good dancehall mix CD (courtesy of Jamrock Radio) and Major Lazer snuck its way in it so yes, Major Lazer is slowly but surely emerging into my life....and yours too.
See what I'm talking about?
Beenie Man's latest release named "Stock and Pile" is not to be confused as a diss towards Mavado but as a reminder that he is not the only entertainer in the industry with Arab money, and for a matter of fact, his pockets are heavier.
“Stock and Pile is a reminder that there are other artistes who have money, the new yute dem who ah talk about money, that good, but wah happen to we, who ah mek money from the 90s? If fi dem money nuff, mine stockpile up. Mi no stop mek money, mi have old money, plus the new money that ah come in, this song is a reminder that my blessings are still there. Blessed,” says Beenie.
Listen to Mavado's "Money Nuff"

It must feel good to be #1!
Rasta Got Soul, which was released in April is getting recognition everywhere and is well recieved worldwide.
While gracing the number one spot on Japan's charts, the album is also sitting as the number one reggae album on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top Reggae Albums Chart, and number 2 in New York and South Florida.
Even if you haven't had a chance to listen to the album, its not too late to go out and get your personal copy because according to the stats you know that your money will be well spent - its well worth it.
Rasta Got Soul is filled with conscious lyrics and upliftment, which is something we can all use - but c'mon I don't even have to try and sell this to you because I'm talking about Buju Banton!
Listen to this one - entitled 'A Little Bit Of Sorry'

Macka says that Lady Saw did take her to shows trying to help Macka maneuver her way into the business, but she did it with resent and seemed unenthusiastic.
Which is the worst! Can you imagine asking someone for a favor, they say yes, but have on a screw face for the ENTIRE time. I can't stand it. Never mind then. BITCH!
"She carried me and Paula on two shows, one overseas and one here (JA), and then she didn't do anymore with us. I had heard that some people believed that we were lame artistes, but I never said anything back to her because I knew she was under pressure at the time. But through the grace of God, I got my buss in the business," she said.
"I called her crying one night because I was frustrated, and what did she tell me 'some of us lucky and some just don't'. After, I had to call Lady G, and G say 'Macka yu a bad artiste, wah yu a deal wid, dont give up', mi ah go voice yu pon mi riddim and ah dat song mi go bank and borrow $100,000 to shoot the video for. Saw had a song on the riddim too and we wanted to do a medley and I had to beg her like a dawg just to come to the music video," she said.
Hahaha, I can't even be mad at Saw because if you don't think someone has potential, people don't want to be affiliated with you. It's a problem because that was her friend. What could you do?
And as far as the curry goat goes...
"Saw no normally cook curried goat, ah fish, ah better she did say 'obeah fish', ah just some strife she ah build up fi bridge my energy. I have no problems with Saw, I have always admired her as an icon, but the way she cut off our friendship was a bit strange. If you have a friend, and your friend does something wrong, don't you give that friend a chance to make it up if the friendship meant anything. "
"Mi nah go say mi never chat Saw or run two jokes, but it is something most people do, and I never said anything malicious or cruel, or else mi sure yu woulda hear it back already. Mi never do her no big thing like sleep wid her man or diss her. Mi never chat Saw the way she mek it seem and the thing is Tanya Stephens did call mi and warn me say 'Saw soon call you and say you a chat her too' and mi did laugh and dismiss Tanya. And then it happen, and mi stop laugh," she said.
"All I know is that life is too short and it takes too much energy to hate a person, so I have no animosity towards Lady Saw, if the friendship is over, ah just that, I can't do anymore."
Macka was so mature about this. Gwaan yah my girl!

Although there are certain things that I do not want to condone nor advertise on this site, some things NEED to be addressed.
I was recently sent a video clip of a party in Jamaica. It had a Passa Passa feel to it because it was an outdoor event, and let me tell you, dem in deh a gwaan BAD!
Oh so badly bad!
Not to mention the party was crowded. So there were two girls and one guy, which is crazy because one of the girls was just working as an assistant. WTF?
The main girl had a bandanna covering her face and all now I wish someone would grab it off and shame her.
I was so disgusted, but that didn't stop me from watching all 20mins of it so I guess I'm just as bad.
One thing though, they were getting it IN! I know I shouldn't be promoting this foolishness but I have to be honest, I had to make a mental note of some of those positions.
And of course they had a VERY attentive audience! Taking pictures with their camera phones, one person almost tapped the STAR of the show so he can have a better angle for his photo.
So many people turned into professional photographers and videographers that night!
But on a serious note, this is a problem. Ladies and gentlemen, you can't be going out to parties carrying on like that especially with something that was meant to be so sacred. Treating it so nonchalantly, disrespecting yourself as well as our culture.
As far as dancing, daggering, dutty wining and what not, I never have a problem with it because Caribbeans just love to have fun, not to mention Caribbeans in particular are all very sexual beings. Yes, some may call it lewd and crude but I much prefer to spend my BIG, BIG $20 to enjoy myself, dance, and be surrounded by fun & lively people.
Some of these clubs (the american ones) are so superficial. They spend money to go into a overpriced club, buy overpriced drinks, they are too cute to interact with others, much less to break out in sweat. I much prefer my RAMPING SHOP AFFAIR!
But you see how easy it is for me to get off topic!
As I was saying - ladies and gents, kindly stop disrespecting my culture and instead start respecting yourselves, or at least do your nastyness behind closed doors.
Now I know that inquiring minds would love to see this video, because even I had to see it to believe it. So if you would like to see this link, first of all, make sure you are OF AGE! If you are under 18 years old, you CANNOT follow these directions.
Everyone else, send me an email at Doms@TheWickedestTime.com and I will respond with a link to it.

During a party at The View Night Club in St. Andrews, Jamaica it was noted that Lady Saw was talking about Macka Diamond. With an attempt to clarify her statements she said, “I ran out of the picture because I am not a hypocrite. Macka was once my friend but she hurt my feelings deeply and we are no longer friends. She has sent people to try to speak to me about it, but I will never be her friend again,” Saw said.
Lady Saw says that they were pretty close friends, and she was the one who attempted to further Macka's career when she first came out into the dancehall scene. She would bring Macka to shows with her although many people were against it.
“There was a time when no one wanted Macka on their shows, and I used to carry her and Queen Paula go everywhere and give them a chance to perform. I remember one time Bounty had a show over the golf course and I brought them on and they performed and afterwards, everyone blocked me out and never wanted to give me back the mic because they were upset that I carried them on the show, and people used to say ‘weh yu a go wid dem pap down artiste de?,” Saw explained.
"But I am a genuine bitch. If you’re my friend, I will give you my life. But I can’t take it when you say things behind my back, they used to come to my house and write songs and we hang out, Macka, Paula, Lady G and Queen Ifrica, and then one day when I invited them to my yard, she passed the comment that she nah go ah my yard fi eat mi obeah curried goat."
So my questions is - all of this over a statement about curry goat? Lawd, she sensitive!
“But with regards to the picture, that is true. I can never associate with Macka Diamond again, once you break my heart, you can never be my friend again.”
With that said, Lady Saw left a message after the 'beep' - I hope Macka get it.
“Stop calling my name ‘Saw’ in a good way. I see you saying big up Saw during your interviews and all that, but just stop it, cut it out.”
Saw said that her dislike for Macka Diamond was so strong she would never accept any help or encouragement from her. Never. “If me pap down, and she a reign, and if she was the only one to help me fi get back into the thing again, I would rather roll in the dirt with the s---t inna it than do that,” she said.
“I thought she was my friend and she hurt me, and I am heartbroken over the things that she said, so I would never want to pose with her in a picture.”

Attention single ladies! Comedian Steve Harvey, the best-selling author of "Act Like a Lady, Think Like Man" and a self-professed expert on manhood, is here to take you inside the male mind.
Comedian Steve Harvey says real men like to provide and protect, but some also like to cheat.
Many women have long lists that describe what they're looking for in a man...but are their standards simply too high? Yinka and Lynell are two 30-something friends who have long lists. They're here to ask Steve if they'll ever find a man who meets all their requirements.
Lynell says she's looking for a God-fearing, spontaneous African-American millionaire with straight teeth and nice shoes who wants children...among other things.
"That would be the Lord," Steve jokes. "I'll be trying to meet him the same time you do."
If a woman is serious about her list, Steve says she should ask herself one question before turning down a date. "Are you willing to be the same thing to him that you're talking about on that list?" he says. "A lot of women are not."
In general, do women even need a list? Steve says single ladies do need to set standards. "I think lists are great. You've got to have them. You've got to know what you're looking for," he says. "Without standards, you settle for stuff."
"You've got to wait on this guy to come along. He's coming. He's out there. He's already created. God has already made him," he says.
"He has a job. He's wearing the clothes you like. He's walking around. You're not waiting on him to be born. He exists today. All you've got to do is stay patient."
Why do many successful, independent women have a hard time finding love? There are millions of smart, beautiful women around the world who can't figure out why they're unlucky in love, including a group of friends from New York. Steve is here to set them straight.
Steve says many successful women dated good men but didn't know it at the time. "You don't know the DNA of a good man," he says. Even if you look like a million bucks -- and you have a few million in the bank -- Steve says a woman needs to know how a man shows his love. It's all about the "three P's."
"We profess, we provide and we protect," he says. "A man has got to see where he fits into the providing and protecting role. If you've got everything, you can do everything, you've got your own car ... you've got a guard dog and a handgun. The guy is thinking, 'Where do I fit in here?'
"You've got to make a space for him to fit in so he can come in and do what men do."
Steve doesn't advise women to downplay their success or pack up their designer shoes. Instead, he says strong women have to walk a thin line.
"You can't let your independence and your ability to take care of yourself be the dominant factor of who you are," he says. "You know how many times I hear women say: 'I don't need a man. I've got this. Why don't a man just come to me?' Just like you're saying it, you're projecting it. If you're projecting it, where does a man fit in there? Just relax."
After a few dates, some guys just stop returning calls and texts. Even if they aren't interested, don't they want closure?
Steve has a simple answer to this question...no. "Ladies, you're not going to get closure from a man," he says. "We don't do closure. And you know why? Because we don't even know you're having an issue. We're stupid."
If you're hoping for a courtesy call, Steve says you can forget about that too.
"We're not courteous. Listen, it's not in our DNA as great communicators anyway," he says. "See women keep waiting on closure. Bring it on. If you want closure, close. Move on with your life."
How important is sex in a relationship? Sex, or "the cookie" as Steve calls it in his book, is a major point of contention for many couples. If you don't think it's important to your man, Steve says you're wrong.
"It's critical," he says. "It's one of the three things that a man has to have. A man has to have love, support and the cookie. [If] anyone of those three things is missing in the relationship, he's going to go get it somewhere else."
If a man is cheating or has the intention to cheat, why pursue commitment with one woman?
Michele found out her boyfriend of many years was cheating after he told her he was ready to settle down and get married. The male mind may be a mystery to women, but Steve says there's a simple explanation for this behavior.
"A man having sex outside of his relationship is very different from [a woman]," he says. "Once we shower and wash off, we cool.
"Please know that about a man. If he's going to cheat, it has nothing to do with his emotional attachment to you or his feelings for you."
Steve says cheaters make promises to their significant others because they know that's what women want to hear.
"Michele, there's nothing wrong with you. You haven't done anything," he says. "Please release yourself. Let the baggage go."
Sadly, many women have dated men who cheat...and most of them don't even know it.
Steve says there are a few major reasons why men stray, though none of them excuse the behavior. The top 5 reasons:
• They can
• They think they can get away with it
• The man hasn't become who he wants and needs to be or found who he truly wants to be with.
• What's happening at home isn't "happening" like it used to.
• There's always a woman out there willing to cheat with him.
If you're married to a mama's boy, is there anything a wife can do to become the number one woman in his life?
Before Jill married her husband of 13 years, she says she knew he was a mama's boy. Over the years, she's grown tired of coming in second.
Steve says the first mistake women like Jill make is thinking they can change their men. "You think if you give him enough cookie, bake it just right, he'll straighten up," he says. "That's not what happens with a mama's boy."
Men stay in this adolescent mind-set because their mothers set standards when they were boys and upheld those standards throughout their lives, Steve says. Wives must enter into their marriages with their own set of rules to stand a chance.
"You have to start saying: 'Hey, look, you have to respect me. You have to be here to show your son how a man treats a woman. You have to be here to show your daughter how a man should treat her,'" he says. "'You can't do it if you're playing me second to your mama.'"
If that doesn't work, Steve suggests appealing to the "three Ps" -- profess, provide and protect. "If you don't say to your man: 'Okay, look, next time she calls, do not leave us in the middle of the night. We're unprotected,'" he says.
"Every man has it in his DNA to do these things when we love you. When you call on it and require it, we rise to the occasion."

The King of Dancehall has teamed up with the Portmore Empire to conquer the dancehall industry, leaving nothing but their scraps for the Alliance Family to eat on.
Beenie Man recently released a song entitled, "Gaza Mi Seh" which seems to be his way of letting the scene know that he is officially a part of the Gaza Camp. At the same time, this might just be one of those publicity stunts to keep him in the public eye or yet another way to aggravate Bounty Killa, his long time enemy.
Listen to it here!
Big CHUNE!! This song is so vulgar, yet so enticing! Well, a so di ting set, Popcaan made it on my playlist!
Bashment Granny is on a world wide tour and although the recession is preventing people from spending the massive dollars on entertainment, Bashment Granny is still selling out venues - EVERY WHERE!
Have you noticed that the last club you've been to wasn't as crowded as you last remembered it? Did you realize that even stage shows with all A-List artists are barely pulling in a crowd? Or even as an artist, have you noticed that the crowd looks a bit scarce?
The recession is still in the air, but consumers worldwide are taking the last bit of money out of their entertainment fund and investing it in Bashment Granny starring Keith 'Shebada' Ramsey.
The Big Ship concert, Reggae Meets Rocksteady and Dancehall failed to pull even 500 people even though it boasted sure box office wizards such as Beres Hammond and Beenie Man. Only two days later, Shebada and the casts of Bashment Granny 2 and Money Worries pulled 13,000 to the Cable and Wireless Golf Academy.
“He sell out the venue, 13,000 people over Cable and Wireless golf course, two for one at the golf course, and it sell off. Him sell out Mas Camp by himself, we had 5,200 paying customers, and we had to give back 300 people their money because the venue just coulden hold anymore. Which dancehall artiste do that?” producer Bunny Allen, head of the Stages Production crew which has produced all of Ramsay’s plays so far, said.“No artiste can do that, they cannot pull the audience that Shebada is able to pull, no Richie Stephens, no Beres Hammond, none ah them caan pull the audience. If yu tek up Bounty, Kartel, Mavado and put dem inna venue on the same night as Shebada, that event would be empty,” he said.
Ramsay is a star with a capital S. He first came to public attention as a crowd favourite among the finalists in the televised stand-up comedy contest ‘Comedy Buss’, but he has supernovaed beyond that now. He has a rabid fan base that comprises mostly women between the ages of 16 to 35 who are diehard fans of his gender-bender qualities.
“The other day in England, Mavado played to 300 people in the Brixton Academy, but a few weeks later, Shebada put 2,300 into the venue and dem turn back 1000, and it is the same promoters dem who put on both shows,” Bunny explained.
"We go Negril and sell out the water park and dem no have 500 people over Mavado show, we sell out and we ah charge 1200, and have 2,000 people. Anno joke ting, every venue him play, him sell out, while over the other show, dem a charge 800 and the venue no cork,” Bunny explained.“Shebada is fully booked until the end of October overseas, we have to refuse dates right now, no artiste nah get dem love de.”
“Him special, him different, dem people de come once every ten years. He gives the people what dem want, dem just love him. Not just Jamaica alone, in May, do four show in England, people book him for 16 show in October, all the venues sell out. Oliver dem have to come off the road, they didn’t have a long run, they cancelled a lot of shows, right now, is Shebada time now,” Bunny explained enthusiastically.
Clearly we are at a day and age where the very thing that most Caribbean people are wholeheartedly against is taking over the entertainment industry. A blatant borderline character is outselling dancehall artists in the box office - as much as people do not want to admit this, the numbers don't lie!
Fans, don't worry, Bashment Granny will be at a theatre near you, at Howard University here in Washington DC on June 14th, 2009 - Get your tickets early because clearly they sell out quick!
