There's a few remakes of this song and I enjoy Freddie McGregor's version the most but the lyrics.. something just don't sound right.
It's like this Pauper sounds a little too content with being a pauper. All I hear is, "I got nothing to offer you.. and never will.. but girrrrrrl, I can lay the pipe!"
Yeah, something like that will never sound right to me, but I rate the song same way.
