Hands down!! The Queen of Dancehall is back at it and dropping her latest creation entitled, "MY WAY" and from listening to the album, I have to say, she still got it!!!!!!
Lady Saw is still super sexy, stylish, fiesty and fun.. just like I remember her when she first entered the dancehall scene.
She made a video for one of the tracks entitled, "Party Till December" and I can't wait to see it, but from what I see in the behind the scenes footage (below) its funky and fresh, but the QUEEN wouldn't have it any other way.
When looking for the AUTHENTIC Lady Saw, you'll find it right here with "MY WAY" because like the title says, she gets the freedom to do everything HER WAY...
"I wanted to have the independence and freedom to do things 100% my way. I can tell the producers what I want for my riddim and say what I want to say in my songs. No one is telling me what I can or can't do on this album," says Lady Saw.
Think about how RAUNCHY Lady Saw was back in the day.. today, she shows a softer, more mature side of her and can you believe that she's still risqué, suggestive and the 'radio friendly' version of explicit!!
"I've grown over the years. People ask me, 'are you toning down?' I say, the nasty stuff is still there, just not as over the top," she explains. "They still gonna get the raw Lady Saw, especially when I perform. But, I wanted to make a record for everyone."
You gotta love her! No matter what, no matter when, LADY SAW will always be the LADY SAW and her album, "MY WAY" will be out on SEPTEMBER 7th so check out the transition!!
