Caribbean music is fighting one hell of a battle.
Yo!! Jah Malo.. tell dem seh we nuh sign funny man deal!
"Ky-Mani's interview with Jamaica's The Gleaner newspaper and numerous other media outlests, including his public statements on his Facebook and Myspace pages, I feel his denials have thrown me and the publishing company under the bus. I didn't write his book, I published it. This is his story; these are his words and now I have to prove it," states Dr. Farrah Gray, the publisher."Ky-Mani was happy with his book but surprised by the Marley family strong objection to his revealing 'Dear Dad' memoir details to be released, that they preferred remained in the family lock box. The publishing company was caught off-guard by the intensely negative reaction that the book must be halted, changed or not be published at all," said Gray.
"I condemn today's shooting in Waterford, and I condemn any attacks made on Blak Ryno," states Palmer firmly."Regardless of what transpires between the Portmore Empire and Blak Ryno, whether or not he is a part of the Empire, I will not tolerate any acts of violence against him. ANYBODY who does ANYTHING to Ryno has to answer to me."Earlier today (yesterday), the Waterford Police confirmed that shots were fired into a house believed to belong to the family of Romaine 'Blak Ryno' Anderson. No one was injured. The incident is currently under investigation."I express my concern, sympathy, and support for the Anderson family. I urge authorities to act swiftly to deal with this situation," states Palmer.
I need a modern man.. with an old fashion kind of mentality. You know, the ones who open doors, clean the pipes and pay the bills?

Busy Signal got his A GAME on!!
So just a few days ago I was hearing about Capleton being dropped from shows in California due to lyrics that were deemed offensive to the gay population, if you missed it.. click here!
International Jamaican Reggae superstar Capleton has once again become the target of the gay community and the organization GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) in response to his concert and festival bookings in California and Florida this month. They have once again used their strong arm tactics to intimidate concert promoters and venue owners putting misinformation in the public about the artiste to further their own agendas. Capleton is very disappointed that his many fans (the cross all races and creeds) have not been able to see him at his scheduled shows in California this past week.He has performed at the same venues and festivals over the past two years with no incident bringing a message of love for all through Reggae music. The barrage of protest from these groups is unwarranted and has been addressed many times in the media in the past. The artiste has a forgiving heart for what has been done to him and will continue on the high path.
Everyday I'm hustling..

Don't get T.O.K misunderstood!! I keep this song on repeat because it's so funny!
Random thought. Why when I hear artists sing about a new dance or feature the dance in their latest video I rarely see the dancers who actually created the dance IN the video.. or on stage performing the dance while the artist is singing the tune.

Nowadays one of the hottest and most disturbing topics in the streets is the 'mashing up' of the local music industry. Every member of our fading business seems to have his or her own reasoning behind this crisis but no one is taking the time out to look at themselves as a possible factor. Who is to be blamed though?
BIG UP to the ladies who know they got what it takes to keep their man!! Everywhere him ah go.. him waah lift you up and carry yuh!! NO GYAL can tek him from yuh!

Ah today mi BUSS, BUSS, BUSS!!
One thing about Mr Vegas, he's not afraid to talk his mind. He made it very clear that he wasn't satisfied with the no name, no hit and no talent artists that seemed to be dominating the airwaves, so he took matters into his own hands.
