After being convicted of drug trafficking, Lionel Jean-Baptiste was ordered to be deported back to his native town, Haiti.

The only problem is, once crossing over to the United States, he made it his duty to become a US Citizen -- so whose problem child is he really? The United States or Haiti?

As much as Judge Kenneth Hurewitz would love to send Lionel away for someone else to deal with, Haiti isn't interested!

The government of Haiti has informed US officials they would not provide travel documents for Jean-Baptiste because, according to the Caribbean country's constitution, Haitians who become citizens in another country is no longer citizens of Haiti.

"So far, they've told (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) they are not willing to accept him, because he is not a Haitian citizen."

US of A!! You can't just throw away the person you adopt!! Nutt'n nuh go so..

The Rototom Sunsplash made strides for the past 16 years as one of the major festivals in Europe -- but everything changes this year since since it was moved from Italy to Spain because authorities in Italy accused the organizers of promoting the use of marijuana by promoting reggae music and the Rastafarian culture.

"The excuse is that we facilitate the use of ganja because we are promoting reggae music and the Rasta culture. So Rasta culture and reggae bring the people to smoke marijuana," states the publicist/art director for the Rototom Sunsplash, Sabrina Trovant.

Sabrina claims the real reasoning behind this decision is because in 2008 a far right conservative party won the election and they're very against people who are not Italian.

"They are more closed to immigrants.. people who are not Italians. So the festival is the symbol of completely the opposite. It is multi-cultural. We promote peace, love and unity between people. No matter your culture, your religion or your tradition, anything. We are one blood."

Spain, on the other hand is democratic, more liberal and very open to the integration between different cultures. Not to mention they appreciate the festival bringing in another stream of income.

The Rototom Sunsplash is set for August 21st to the 28th and features acts like ANTHONY B, FANTAN MOJAH, Alpha Blondie, Alborosie, and Glen Washington.

So this Saturday I decided to get up on my soca music and relive the carnival vibe so I made my way over to The Library to check out the Black and Gold Affair..

What ah way di Trini Massive know how to PARTY!!

I walked into the venue and the first thing I noticed was lots of pretty lights.. you know, the strobe affect dancing on the faces of everyone around, definitely a nice touch!!

It set my vibe right from the instant I walked in.

I was probably one of those kids who needed Ritalin growing up because it took a second for me to get my focus off the lights and onto the crowd.. but once I got my focus right I noticed that the place was RAM!!

People EVERYWHERE and what an attractive crowd!!

I was surrounded by so many sexy fellas, I was just looking around trying to figure out who I wanted to whine up on for the night!

The ladies came out representing for the BLACK AND GOLD Affair, I saw them shimmering from head to toe and they take their dancing SERIOUS!!!

The ladies made sure to put down the drink in their hand to palance on the dance floor!!

The place was MAAAAAAD!!

And the music was even better!! I had so much fun on Saturday night!! I felt like I was right on Eastern Parkway during the Labor Day Carnival..

They had a great mix of soca, dancehall, reggae, hip hop and even some random Lady Gaga music!!

And trust me, Lady Gaga had people jumping up and down in there!

It was the best balance I heard in a while, never too much of one genre.. never too little!

Just the right amount of my 'whine go up.. whine go down' music!!

I was around a very FUN crowd, no screw faces, no miserable people, no gangsta ting.. just grab a partner and start ROCK YUH WAISTLINE!!

...and thats what partying is ALL ABOUT!! I see myself going to fete's more often!!

SIZZLA ACCEPTS FARM LAND IN ZIMBABWE IN RETURN FOR PERFORMANCES

One of the views of Rastafarians is to ultimately repatriate back to the MOTHERLAND.. and Sizzla may be starting the process.

He's been making waves throughout Africa since late February. One of his notable stops was his performance in Zimbabwe for the country's 30th independence celebration.. in exchange for 2 performances, he was presented with farm land.

It's great because when he's ready to make it back he can sustain himself by producing his own, but the farm land was more of a good deed from Sizzla since the farm land is for the Rastafarian Community in Zimbabwe.

"He (Sizzla) is in Zimbabwe beacuse he loves Africa. He isn't pro-Mugabe or anti-Mugabe but he respects Mugabe as a leader," states his publicist, Olimatta Taal.

I think I eventually want a farm.. or at least a garden. When was the last time you had a FRESH vegetable.. a FRESH fruit?? It's all about being healthy, wealthy and wise!

JUDGE ISSUES WARRANT FOR EEK A MOUSE'S ARREST FOR MISSING TRIAL DATE ON KIDNAPPING CHARGES

Wha gwaaan Eek A Mouse?? It looks like you just can't get a break, huh?

Eek A Mouse, also known as Ripton Joseph Hylton was scheduled to appear in court for a trial on rape and kidnapping charges this week but missed his court date due to circumstances beyond his control.. his flight from Europe was cancelled because of the volcanic ash clouds that posed a threat to over 6000 flights in the area.

But not even volcanic ash clouds stopped Superior Court Judge Jerry Tillett from issuing a warrant for Eek A Mouse's arrest.

"It was difficult for me to understand why the judge thought this was willful," stated Eek A Mouse after his motion to continue the case for 60 days was denied.

Back in August 2008, Eek A Mouse was charged with first degree kidnapping, second degree rape and possession of cocaine.

According to police reports, a 23 year old woman was held against her will by Eek A Mouse at a motel but Eek A Mouse denies all charges.

NEW YORK DONATES $10 MIL WORTH OF CONFISCATED KNOCKOFFS TO HAITI'S EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Great news!!

Approximately 125,000 tons of knock off clothes and shoes will be donated to the earthquake victims in Haiti!!

The knock off version of brands like Black Label, Ed Hardy, Nike and Diesel are among the $10 million dollars worth of clothing that was confiscated by the State of New York. According to police, the clothes are normally destroyed but they instead decided to put the clothing to good use.

"Permission was obtained from manufacturers, including Nike, Timberland, Antik Denim Jeans, Black Label and Christian Audigier, to allow the knockoffs to be donated to charity," states Kings County District Attorney Charles J. Hynes.
