(DEC. 1ST IS WORLD AIDS DAY) -- "HIGHLIGHTING AN EPIDEMIC ONCE A YEAR IS NOT ENOUGH" -- BULLA

By: Bulla

Today is "World AIDS Day" and we here at The Wickedest Time is in full recognition of it because of the importance that this day stands for.  However, it is my personal opinion that we as people should begin to pay more attention to this epidemic on a daily basis -- not just on this specific day.

Highlighting an epidemic on one day followed by silence on the other 364 days is not good enough. Although the majority of the world should be well aware of this disease, many people are still ignorant to many of the other problems that come with having AIDS.  Problems like the side effects that medications can have on the human body, the effects that AIDS itself can have on one's health, the overwhelming mental effects, how to get help if these problems develop plus many more issues that the majority are unaware of.

We must try to do a lot more in educating the worlds population about one of the most deadliest diseases out there because it is obvious that people are still being infected at an alarming rate.  With little education about how to protect yourself or how to deal with the situation if you are infected, escalation of this problem is inevitable.

My hope is that world government will begin to do more to help the population in their respective countries and stop paying attention to greed.  And even though few are reluctant to say it, population reduction tactics.

My condolences goes out to the people that have lost loved ones to this terrible man-made disease and also to those who are infected by it.

ONE LOVE
